Using BCD code binary inputs for tap changer position indication on automatic voltage regulator function

Sometimes tap position indication is done by using multiple binary inputs. With binary-coded decimal (BCD) inputs any one decimal numeral can be represented by a five-bit pattern. You can use BCD inputs by setting the "Tap position indication" to "BCD-coded inputs" at Control Control functions → Automatic voltage regulator → INFO and Tap settings. The binary inputs are then defined in the regulator's menu at IO → Input signal control. Up to five binary inputs can be set for BCD coding, and up to 31 positions can be indicated with BCD coding (see the image below).
